2. Is there any advantage to the acrylic glass material? Less calcium build up?

We have developed the product so that cleaning isn’t required – our shower heads are manufactured with an environmentally friendly (proprietary) anti build up clear coating inside and out. I’ve had mine up in my home for 5 years and it looks the same way as the day it came out of the box. Also, acrylic glass by nature tends to ward off calcium or sediment build up. Clear Shower XL does not require any cleaning through its lifetime use. We have performed thousands of hours and years of testing with our prototypes only to find we still don’t need to clean our test units! If you do find the need to clean your unit for any reason, simply remove the shower head from the bathroom fixture and soak it or 30 minutes in CLR, flush with water thoroughly and reinstall.
